Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Is. 49:23c. for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
I was reading Ps. 31 today and praying in the Words, that David inspired by the Spirit of God wrote. I said, 'In You Lord I take refuge, let me never be put to shame.' Our Scripture today, decided much earlier, has led me and countless of other people who trust the Lord with their lives, to the assurance that, 'they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.'
This is God's assurance to His people and despite what the 'signs' say or what the eye beholds of the prevailing frightful situation one could be going through, the hope is in God. Sometimes situations are just beyond our control (as are most of them) and we find ourselves floating freely, navigating without a rudder if you will, not knowing where we'll reach, heart pounding inside wondering whether we'll reach safely, if at all we reach somewhere. Despondency sets in and a type of anxiety that's like thick darkness envelopes us, where there's no chance of even the minutest ray of light reaching. God you say, help me and … silence, there's no answer.
But if you believe in Scripture, there's hope yet; remember, nothing is over unless the Sovereign Lord, His Majesty, the Creator and Owner of the universe, says it is. And don't forget His Words are always before Him as He knows what He has told us and if He spots someone holding on to His Word in faith, He relents from any destruction. He allows light to flow in where you'd never expect and relief from quarters you'd not even imagine. He heals you and lifts you above those who were waiting for your downfall. He will never allow you to be shamed if you have waited for Him. Hold this firmly in your heart even as I do today because when trouble hits and you don't know what to do, just look up to the hills from where your help comes and surely as you have looked up, your help will come, for He Who beholds you from above, neither sleeps nor slumbers and His mercy and love are toward all who trust Him and wait upon Him.
