In a race to meet the needs of 40,000 families in four mainland states of South India, World Vision’s a non-profit, second phase relief is almost done. "We have at least covered 30,000 families and the rest will be done in the next three days", said Moses Vijaya Kumar, Relief Manager.
World Vision is also working closely with the local administration, NGOs and corporate houses to bring relief to thousands affected by the recent Tsunami.
Relief in the form of wet and dry food ration, adult clothing, bed Sheets and utensils were distributed in 10 worst hit districts including Chennai city.
Eager to meet the Government ‘s deadline for evacuating all relief camps by January 13, thousands of affected people have started to move back into their villages or staying in temporary shelter. In some cases, the movements worked out to World Vision’s advantages but most families are not ready to shift yet. World Vision is urgently needing funds for this mammoth activity. pls see website: worldvisionindia.org
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
