Thoughts for Another Day

Today's verse: Ps. 145:18. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
Life is really rife with uncertainty. One moment there's joy and the next, there's tragedy. One moment there's victory and the next, absolute defeat. Men, along the years have fallen because of this uncertainty and our inability to deal with it, which for no reason will ever, ever become predictable. Over the years and ages men have tried to predict the shape of the future but sadly haven't been able to grasp it or lay hold of it. Nothing can give man greater satisfaction than know what tomorrow will bring, but that satisfaction is far removed from man for it lies in the domain of the all-knowing, all powerful God, the Boss of Creation.
It is in sincere obeisance and worship of God that man is able to deal with uncertainty. We may not know what it will bring in its fold but our leaning on God is the only answer to this world which is rife with uncertainty. He is there as solid as a rock you'd see forming the face of a formidable cliff. God's presence is in itself a calming factor in the midst of cosmic and destiny changes. Though they may change and bring about chaos and darkness, God provides the cover a man needs to fend off the evil that shuts him in its bosom.
And God can be found – yes He can be found by a seeking heart. For He is close to them who call on Him in sincerity and truth. He is never far from any of us for we know we live and move and have our being in Him (Acts. 17:28)…hence our spirit can feel His presence even in the midst of the most threatening storms. But our anxieties and other leanings quickly obliterate all our feelings of Him. Yet, for us who constantly talk to Him and commune with Him, dwelling in the shadow of His wings, He is present and we can feel Him just as we feel the whiff of breeze across our bodies all the time. And we've seen His redeeming hand in our lives like no other force for He is like no other and when we're faced with trouble, He is there to take the wind off the sails of our distress. Yes, He is LORD and Master of our lives…isn't it?
