Thoughts for Another Day

Today's verse: 2 Chron. 16:9. For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
Today's Scripture gives us two promises of God and both so powerful that merely remembering them in times of trouble can shoo the trouble away. The first is that the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth making clear all of man's actions before the LORD of heaven and earth (For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings Pro 5:21) and there's nothing hid before Him. He sees all things and even knows the deepest secrets of our heart as only He can; for He is awesomely Omnipresent and Omniscient. And so God's people are glad that in Him they have One who is aware of everything.
The second is that God is poised to show Himself strong on the behalf of those who're upright before Him. That means all of us who strive to keep our actions, words and thoughts clear before Him have a mighty Warrior in the LORD, who is ready to strike our enemies if they try to frighten us. Now both of these promises are in the LORD and they're available to any of His children wherever they be.
What do they do to us? Well, guard us when we need it and keep us safe even in the midst of chaos and turbulence all around. If we believe in these two promises we will know that He is watching us with His eyes of love and that in the event we face a problem, He is there to defend us. Believing this, let us move forward in life with even more vigor in the knowledge that our Father in Heaven is God and He is for us.
