Thoughts for Another Day

Today's verse: Is. 46:4. Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you. (NIV – copyright acknowledged)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
God's promises, particularly the ones He made through Holy Scripture, last forever. He is always true to them. He is the same yesterday; today and forever. His mind doesn't change according to the slight happenings here and there. He remains constant in the midst of enormous changes all around us and that's why we're certain to be safe in His hands.
In our humanness, we often offend God and are guilty before Him. I've seen how prone we're to worship other gods and things that benefit us none; yeah, and if you think you're different, you need to know how even a staunch believer sometimes, even wantonly worships idols and other riff-raff! Then we offend Him with our sins – minor, major – classification doesn't matter for a sin is a sin. At times, like Peter we deny Him and make believe He doesn't exist; at other times, we choose to do things other than that He has told us. He sees all this and His heart cries over us for He wants us to be with Him all the time, so that we're victorious in our lives, but alas, look at what we choose. Our lips echo His Name but we're far from Him and believe me, it doesn't fool Him one bit, except create illusions in our minds about our relationship with Him.
