Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Philip. 4:6. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (NRSV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
We love to see people who have confidence in God. A confidence, that's unshakable and refuses to be quelled even if the person is confronted with gigantic problems which could shake the very innards in others making their hearts melt like jelly. We see this confidence in some people and marvel at the faith they have and wish that we too had that kind of faith, don't we?
Now to every person, the Bible says, a measure of faith has been given (Rom. 12:3) and we need to live accordingly. Besides, like the apostles, we also plead the Lord to grant us faith so we're able to assign our lives into His care even more than we did before. Why? Because the operative Word in God's dictionary of immense possibility is 'FAITH'. This is a three-fold faith proposition: 1. Faith in God, 2. Faith in His immense power and 3. Faith, that He loves me and will use His immense power in my favor. For many the 3rd aspect is a little difficult to ingest as we're unsure if God will work in our favor. But I tell you He will; because He honors those who have faith in Him. We feel we're unworthy to expect anything from Him, but when were we ever worthy to receive from Him? However, today we stand covered with the blood of His Son and because we believe in that blood, we're made worthy! It isn't our worthiness, but Jesus' worthiness that we present to our Father as our case in order we receive His favor and mind you, when we have such a friend with us, who is the Beloved of the Father, how can our Father refuse us anything?
Now in our Scripture today, we can relate to what Paul says, because Paul who understood the above argument well could live and breathe it and therefore with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit wrote the sacred Scripture and gave it to us. And we, to whom the Word of God has come, live in confidence for we know our Father and His ways well. So not worrying about anything, but through prayer we make known our needs bringing our confidence in Him to the fore, trusting He will listen and answer and HE DOES.
