Thoughts for another day

November 22, 2010

Today's verse: Job 35:14. Even though you say that you see Him not, the case is before Him; with trembling should you wait upon Him. (NAB)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

Unto the invisible God we approach and times are when we cannot even feel His presence.  It may be because our minds are pre-occupied with things that weigh it down.  Many worries and anxieties flood the corridors of our senses and mute them to the Word of God which comes to us in silence and we who are not used to silence are completely oblivious of it, seeing that we are even de-sensitized to seeing the invisible God through the eyes of our minds.

Then, we take our pleas unto Him whom we do not see and may I say, do not believe in too that He is and He is watching us all the time.  How then can we believe that He will listen to our pleas; to the cries of our heart when we have no faith that He is there and is listening?  God becomes but a figment of our creation when our senses are de-sensitized to His Awesome Presence.  When our beings are not in consonance with His being, we refuse to believe that He is and He listens.  So it is with us many times for we can't perceive His call asking us to hold on to the little faith in us – which signals the period of testing that we need undergo.

But Scripture is clear in that it says; we should tremble and wait in awe for the Awesome One to act.  And act He does for He is faithful to His Word.  If there is something we need from Him and we are asking in accordance to His uttered Word, God is in it.  We may not see or feel Him, but we must know that He is and He will do it for us, simply because God is far more conscious about His Name than we are and we know that if we have asked something according to His Word, then His Word prevails for His Name is in His Word and God will not allow His Holy and powerful Name to be sullied among the people.  Therefore, in the presence of the invisible God go today with your need and believe that the Invisible One will work and make visible the invisible desire of your heart, whatever it be for we know Jesus said, 'Go, let it be done for you according to your faith?'
