Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Pro. 2:6. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
Waiting on the Lord has many advantages. The first thing you get is a calm within. No matter what kind of person you are, you are filled with a peace that’s sublime and lasting when you wait on the Lord, earnestly. Beyond that you will find that your needs are met, your troubles suddenly seem to dissolve and diseases refuse to come your way (who wants to face the wrath of the Lord, anyway!).
Then there is something very precious that our verse for today tells us. In waiting upon the Lord, comes wisdom. Today, we see the world starved of wisdom. Men show scant respect for it; in fact, wisdom has been usurped by greed and greed has become the illegitimate face of wisdom: Greed to become bigger, greed to rule, greed to become powerful, etc is the norm, couched in what one could say, ‘ambition’. And of course, people will say, you need wisdom to fuel your ambition. So money power and other worldly wisdom is used to make life difficult for others.
But really, is it wisdom? Is it wise to throw lavish parties and fill yourself till you puke, while there on the street lies a child with an empty stomach? Is it prudent to live in a mansion when millions of people have made the sky their roof? Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m not against wisdom used to become rich, but against wisdom which makes one strong enough to make others weak.
Look at the wisdom God gives. It seeks to satisfy all. It realizes that life is precious. It seeks respect for everyone. Above all, God’s wisdom makes you tread a path where you will not trample anyone and while on it, makes you a titan. Seek today, knowledge and understanding that God can give. So, you are filled with a wisdom that will bring about His kingdom on earth.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
