Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Acts: 11:14. Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
What is so blessed about the Word of God that it saves? Saves us from the punishments that await us as a result of our wanton sinning and disbelieving Him who created us.
God’s Word is packed with power to relieve us of the burden that we carry. It saves us from the misery that the world heaps upon us and that the evil one torments us with. It is the eternal Word that removes this burden the moment you speak it with belief.
Most of us Christians live in the world, trapped in some kind of torment. His Word comes setting us free. It frees us from the shackles that our mind, which is the fertile ground for the devil to sow hate, discord, fear, etc. if left without the fence of God’s protection through His Word, harbors and weakens our lives.
God’s Word is fresh each morning as each morning brings things anew. God’s Word is permanent and comes to us without any cost or labor. It enriches our soul and gives us strength in the midst of weakness. Above all, remember, heaven and earth will wither and pass away but His Word will remain for He Himself is His Word!
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
