Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Pro. 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
If we examine our lives, apart from the evil that we commit and the sins that accrue as an act of omission, there is yet I feel, a greater one, which is, putting our trust in our own abilities in our journey in life and not leaning on God.
The Lord created us with great love and He wants to maintain and keep us with the same great love. Yet, over a period of time, our hearts veer away from Him. Truly, if you think about it, it is an insult to the Lord that we move away from Him. My friend, God does not eschew His responsibilities as we do. So therefore, keeping us, which is His responsibility by virtue of being our Creator, is taken very seriously by Him and He never shirks this responsibility. Yes, He hands us trials and tribulations but those are meant to just move us away from the path we take towards self-harm and destruction. Nudging us as it were to push us back on track.
God my friend is the Master of a world (we call it the Kingdom of God) where, there is joy, peace and happiness. There is an innocence permeating every molecule of its atmosphere and the air is one of expectation. Dependence is solely on God. Over here, just as we depend solely on Him for the rains, there we depend on Him for every thing, small or big. There is no question of, ‘is this too small for God to be interested in it?’ for God is interested in everything! Nay rather, He is pleased to be involved in everything.
The entry to this place is ‘child-likeness’ with a trusting that is seamless and sincere. And its light is God Almighty. His Holiness shines forth in the place as would light shine through a prism, with a cascading of brilliance that births pleasure in our senses. In this place, Jesus our Lord has prepared a room for us. Welcome. But please remove your shoes of doubt and your skins of hate and dine at the Master’s table. This is your eternal home.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
