Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Ps 32:8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. (KJV)
It is delightful to look at today’s verse and meditate on it because countless are the times when as a committed Christian the prayer of your heart would have been, ‘Lord teach me your way…’ And here is affirmation that He will. Not only will he instruct and teach us the way in which we need to abide and move but more importantly He says, ‘I will guide thee with Mine eye!’ Which means that while we walk on the way, if at all we stray, He will correct and bring us back on track. When the eye of God sets about its task of watching over us, His eye will watch over us. When God uses such language in His Word remember, it means that the aspect on which He talks is important to Him, which is why He takes affirmative action in the first place.
There are many of us Christians wallowing in the dirt of the world. We know not which way to go. Sometimes, even the littlest turns and twists are enough to rob the comfort from us and put us into confusion. I have in my own life experienced this and also seen it in the lives of so many people who I counsel. This is because the business of the devil is to sow and harness fear in the hearts of people and make them look to solutions of the world to satiate their troubled selves. Many people succumb to this and eventually fall into deeper pits than when they began.
My friend, sometimes, when we ask God for something, there might be no answer. At that time do not fret and remember the verse above. Whatever you do, tell the Lord about it and do it. Talk to Him as a friend and move forward. Don’t allow the world to influence you even if the solution seems good. You will know if the decision you take is from God by the inner peace you experience. Also don’t forget that His eye is set about guiding you in whatever you do. Let His Word prevail in your heart.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
