Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Heb. 6:18:19. ...we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; (KJV)
Each time I come to know a little more about God and His Word, I am filled with amazement at His marvelous ways for us puny humans. Today’s verse is another tremendous insight into the inner chamber of our Father. That He has given us this insight is surely to tell us about the eternal choice laid before us who have put our hope in Him.
My friend, we who have fled for refuge in the Lord can hope. When there is the promise of hope there will be redemption. In this world we may have strife and trouble but we have hope too. In our day-to-day struggle with sin, we have hope. Like those who do not know the living God, we are not bereft of hope. And this hope that we have is like an anchor for the soul. And here’s the tremendousness of the hope as the verse goes further to say that this anchor is both, sure and steadfast! It is like solid ground for the man who is lying in sinking sand.
And for those of us who wish to be reminded about the covering of glory upon us, a glory that comes from above because Jesus Himself has filled us with it (Jn. 17:22) we have the endurable Word which says that the hope we have in God also enters within the veil…because by Christ’s sacrifice the veil that shrouded the glory of God away from us, has been opened. And my beloved, we are in a position to behold the glory of the Father, which has been made possible only because of His mercy and His love. Imagine this if you can.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
