Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Col. 1:9. …that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; (KJV).

The Christian way of life needs be conscious of what God’s Word mentions as spiritual understanding. It is understanding what the Spirit of God desires or what God Himself desires of us as He unfolds our lives, day by day. For then we react in the right manner living victorious lives. It is like knowing the end of a thriller movie. You know that the hero succeeds despite what happens initially therefore, you are calm. So too, we know we will win for He says, ‘All things work for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes.’

When faced with situations of difficulty, we are plagued with questions that rise in our minds and we find no answers. God takes us through such situations where we are completely floored, exhausted and find no way to ease ourselves out of. Sometimes, we are brought to the crossroads of life when a decision needs be made and we want to do what He wants us to. The question foremost in our minds at that time is, what is God’s will in my life? What does He want me to do now? To fathom a correct interpretation, you and I need to discern the way He works in our life. Seek and discern His footprints left in complete silence. For God’s ways are silence and depth.

Knowing just a wee bit of God, I can truly say that whatever you see happening in your life is part of His plan. He brings about events that go in line with His will. If we are blind to this, we suffer but if we have gained spiritual insight, we go through whatever it is stoically, for we know that He will deliver. Through the ages we see how God has delivered so many of His people and my friend if you truly are His, He will deliver you.

Ask yourself today, am I in possession of Spiritual undestanding? Am I about the will of God? It’s important you do. Your victory depends on it.
