Thoughts for another day

Dec. 6, 2012.

Today's verse: Ro. 6:11. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

Within the heart of man lies the key to his final destination, whether he'll live with God eternally or whether he'll be away from God suffering the torments of hell.  The heart is a slave of the will of a man, free-will, which God has given him and which differentiates him from every other being; for by his free-will a man can be his own master.  The urge to sin emanates from the heart of man and Jesus rightly said, Mt. 15:18, 'But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean.'  This urge, man has not been able to curb since the ages, and will never unless, a Greater Power enables him do that.  The Greater Power Who can enable us to do that, is the Holy Spirit Whom  Jesus sent us as He promised His apostles.

Jesus went through much suffering and death and by His resurrection, He opened the doorway of heaven for us, which was closed by the sin of Adam.  In His death, Jesus Christ died to sin so as to show us who live in Him, to also die with Him and thus be dead to sin.  In His resurrection, He also made us alive through Him and therefore we're alive unto God.  What this simply means is, 'we live a life, pleasing to God in and through Jesus Christ believing that He is our Savior.'  To live this kind of life, we need to go to the Holy Spirit to get His help and He is most willing to hold us up for it pleases Him to help when we're on the way Jesus taught us to go and He is pleased also when we worship and praise Jesus.  Take the mantle of Grace Jesus sends us in His Holy Spirit, and move on – alive to God, to sing His praise and do His work of lifting souls of men to Him.  Amen.
