Thoughts for another day

June 12, 2012

Today's verse: Ps. 25:3a. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed:  (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

He who trusts the Lord with all his heart can never be afraid of being shamed for God will save him from whatever situation he's in, simply because of the trust the man has in Him.  I really don't know what it is about faith or trust that God loves, except that it moves God's hand in a manner nothing else can do.  Sometimes, I may be in anguish and may pray with tears flowing down my cheeks but then if I don't cover myself with faith, I will be disappointed, though I rained tears in my prayer.

When Elisha cursed the boys who were teasing him (2 Ki. 2:24) he spoke with such a force of faith that two she-bears came and mauled forty two youth!  When Paul was troubled by the oracular spirit, in the slave girl, following them and telling the people about them, (Acts. 16: 17, 18), he just spoke with faith in Jesus' Name, asking the spirit to come out and it did!  Jesus Himself appreciated acts of faith so much that He lauded those who exhibited it like the Centurion, the Syrophoenician woman, the woman with the issue of blood, etc. and immediately granted them their needs!

If I were asked what really happens when we display faith then, I must say that we exalt God in the highest and accord Him great glory when, not seeing, we yet acknowledge Him.  God is so pleased that He works, granting the request of the person immediately.  At times faith also leads to wait upon the Lord, I would call it, patient faith, but faith no doubt.  In this, we exhibit that we trust Him and depend on Him, willing to endure the trial, believing the end will be exactly what we envisioned it to be.  Remember, when we trust God and wait upon Him, there can be no greater prayer than that and it will touch God's heart and He will work to reveal His glory in us.
