Thoughts for another day

May 2, 2012

Today's verse: Philip 4:13. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.  (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

Oh wayfarer on earth, see the Scripture God gives us today in His Son, Jesus Christ.  It demolishes all mixed up and fright ridden notions we harbor when things don't go our way in life.  It makes us soar to shores unknown yet safe from the raging seas of defeat and despair; and just when we think all is lost, comes a strength in us that defies logic for then we must know, Jesus Christ strengthens us and suddenly the impossible is possible.

Today, I hold this Scripture more applicable to me because of the uncertain and despondent situation I'm in and I need it probably more than any of you, readers of this reflection wherever you are.  If you're in a similar situation; we shall together, romp home with the power of this Word in our lives and now on we will do all things through Jesus Christ our Lord even as we believe that when we lift up our hands to do something, the hands may be ours but the strength is His. Believe this, even as I believe and I pray for you just as I hope you will pray for me; for we know there's great strength in belief and prayer.

We may be down and out, with not an iota of strength to lift us up.  All doors seem closed and it confounds us how things look out there: so bleak.  There's a fear in the heart that's so natural and normal and what's normal for humans, now seems a large threat wanting to engulf us in its vast jaws and the evil one is in roaring glee waiting for us who trust in God to tell us, 'see your God isn't bothered about you.'  But yet, even as you hold on, I shall too and like David we shall look up to the hills from where our help comes and certainly before today comes to a close, He will come to deliver – in what way, what form we don't know; but we do know that He will come and He will be our strength; and then we shall show them, our enemies, the might of the power of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ as we move mountains and clear rocks in our progress towards victory – in every area of our lives – be it material or Spiritual. Amen and Amen.
