Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Ps. 13:1. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? forever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
Most men who live on the earth have at one point of time or other, uttered the Word of our Scripture. Some in deep anguish of the heart, and some when unforeseen events hit them to really shock and beat them black and blue. And in it is the key to the answer of God, for God always hearkens to the cry of the broken-hearted.
Seldom do we see the hand of God in our lives so clearly as do we when we're neck deep in trouble and don't know what to do as the world seems to be fast closing in on us and the enemy wants to destroy us even if we've done no wrong. Sometimes the billows of life are so tossed on us that we're roughed up thoroughly and we don't even know how to face the moments of life we're living. I know well what it's like to look up to heaven with tears in your eyes and desperately ask Him, 'how long will You hide Your face from me; how long will You be silent?'
But when I think of God, I remember Him as One Who always, unfailingly, unerringly reaches out. He never sleeps nor slumbers, this our God, and can you believe, He stores our every tear in His bottle; ah, He lists each sigh in His book. He even can't bear our pain at times, the pain we have to bear so He can work things out by which we can have eternal life. In the hour of our trial, there're moments when only silence greets us even as great agony envelops our whole being. I can perceive Jesus saying, 'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?' Oh Glory, He Who is God is just a footfall away and waiting to rescue us from our malady. All He needs is a humble call, before He lets loose the armies of heaven against our enemies and He Himself, stoops to the ditch we've fallen into, to lift us up; for really, just as He is Yahweh Nissi, the banner of our lives, so are we His inheritance, His precious possession.
