Thoughts for another day

Aug. 10, 2011

Today's verse: Gal. 4:6. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

When God made us, He made us to be His forever; He intended to commune with us and be our Father.  That is His desire for man.  But Adam sinned and created a chasm between Him and us, a chasm so deep with no hope for a getting together.  But then came Christ, the sacrificial Lamb of God, which He had prepared before the foundation of the world to bridge the chasm and regain His favor.

God has always considered us His sons, His children and He sees us that way; only we aren't aware for our minds are clouded with sins and petty thoughts by which we can't see such a great destiny for us in Him through Christ; yes, for us who are His inheritance in the Beloved Lamb.  Jesus knew us well and the maliciousness of our thoughts, therefore, before leaving earth, He gave His Holy Spirit to be with us and strengthen us.  The beautiful Holy Spirit, who though enormously powerful, yet comes to us like gentle drops of rain.  My friend, the Holy Spirit despite all His awesomeness, comes to us in tenderness and seeks communion with us.

Imagine, the greatest Power in the world, comes to us and you know what? He also intercedes for us before the Father with groanings that can't be uttered; He helps our infirmities as we do not know to prayer as we should.  This same Spirit, our magnificent God, steps with us in prayer and helps us to draw from deep within our hearts and cry Abba Father and in this is the Father pleased when He sees us being in His will.  Then the blessings of our Father flow into our lives even as we're renewed in our minds by the working of His Holy Spirit.  Oh, how profoundly great is our Holy Spirit, who comes and dwells in us though we are soaked in sin and helps us reach the well of salvation and endows us with power in our lives; give thanks to Him.
