Thoughts for Another Day

Today's verse: Ps. 80:19. Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. (KJV)

O LORD God, Gracious Father Mighty LORD and God, we're grateful You call us all the time to repent and turn back to You.  Your gloriousness is amazing in that we experience the full force of Your Majesty when we turn our faces to You in those certain moments we're close to You. 

Very often Father, we stray from You.  We make idols of things we desire being lured by them and we're inclined to forget You and Your sweet promises to us.  On small bait, we're led away and it looks like every force on earth wants to separate us from You.  Often times, we feel You are the cause of our pain and misery; that You gleefully force us to be subdued by unhappiness, weakness and penury.  We tend to believe that the problems we face could be thwarted by You and having thus accused You, we the scum of the earth also think, how then will You prove that You are Boss if You don't keep us under Your thumb?  But deep inside we know Father that You do these things so we can share eternal bliss with You, but what to do Father, we really are so much in difficulty that it hurts and that is why we think like this.

Nevertheless Father, we want to turn back today and confirm You as our God, Lord and King.  O LORD of hosts restore us; let Your face shine on us that we be saved.  Deliver us from the present evil and show us the way forward Father for really we're tired in this our struggle with the odds of life that seem to drain our very lives, little by little, day by day.  We want to have our hope in You and You alone and we want to know You personally so Father Bless us and keep us and let Your Face shine upon us and let us live in the light of Your Presence always.
