Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Gen. 1:3. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
If God has said something, He will do it. That's because His Word never fails. It is just meant to happen. We see in our Scripture today where God says, 'Let there be light' and there was light. For God it is as simple as saying it. God's power works in His Word. His Word is most powerful and it brings about that which is meant to be brought about.
Let's look at Jesus' miracles with which we can relate closely because He created them when He was on earth with us as a human with all human frailties that we possess. When there was the storm on the Sea of Galilee, He just said, 'Peace, be still' and the sea obeyed! Awesome power went out from the Awesome One and did the thing which was meant to be. When Lazarus was dead in the tomb for four days, Jesus just shouted out, 'Lazarus come forth' and Lazarus came out, hands and feet tied in burial cloths. Awesome isn't it – the Word of God. When your problem is huge remember, there is His power which is bigger than your biggest problem and can erase it instantly.
Lest you think it happens only in those times, let me re-assure you that even today, God's Word comes forth and it comes forth with the same power simply because He is the same yesterday, today and forever and believe me, there's nothing impossible for God. Amidst your storms He will command, peace be still and the storm will vanish. When you are dead in your troubles and pain, He will command, 'come forth' and you will come forth to comfort and peace. Such is the power of God's Word that even inanimate things as we've seen in the Sea of Galilee, obey Him and there is nothing not subject to His Dominion. He is from eternity to eternity the same Awesome God and He yet loves us despite all our flaws simply because we believe in His Son. Now if you believe this, just ask Him to say the Word which will then bring about that which you need brought about and after this, don't forget to glorify Him.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
