Thoughts for another day

Aug. 28, 2009

Today's verse: Heb. 4:16. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

The driving power for attainment in one’s life is God’s Grace. His Grace is His own definition of Presence in our lives and it is the way to do things. Powerfully and without any restraint! Grace doesn’t withhold anything nor is Grace unable to extract or assemble the way we think. It’s just that our application of Grace is sometimes wrong as is our devotion to God sometimes when it takes an ‘out of the path’ detour.

Grace is God’s weapon of mass construction. With Grace seemingly impossible things, though still seemingly impossible, become very possible or shall I say ‘doable’. Grace scoffs at the devil’s suggestion that you are barking up the tree of futility and will not achieve it. Grace resounds with … It’s possible, it’s possible, it’s possible! For those of us understanding the springing symbol of Grace, will know that God has the answer for every prayer embedded in the dna of the stream of Grace sent by Him and that is why God told Paul, …My Grace is sufficient for you. 2 Cor. 12:9.

But we hesitate in coming to God for His Grace and the reasons could be varied. The first is, we don’t really believe in the power of Grace; but were Grace weak, God wouldn’t have told Paul what He did. Then again we may question and say, Would Grace be sufficient to tide over my crisis? Yes, of course, God’s guarantee is in His Grace. Grace is like the latent atom bomb. You need to take it and release it and it starts a reaction which triggers miracles in your life and works things in your favor and the wonderful thing is it is in the way God wants… so you are well within the realm of God’s will.

And hence as Paul says, Let us approach the Mighty throne of Grace that we may get His mercy, and with His Grace counter difficulties. Yes, my friend, today, pledge allegiance to His Grace and know that it will work wonders in your life.
