Thoughts for another day

Aug. 4, 2009

Today's verse: Na. 1:3. The LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

The LORD God is with amazing strength. He created the universe and spans the length and breadth of the world. He makes the winds and the gigantic waves by His power. The massive streaks of lightning with amazing electric current are His handiwork. He rules over the frightening thunders and sets the stars on their course. He holds the sun in His palms and strokes it to give even brighter light to His creation on earth and He fondles the face of the earth so that it becomes re-vitalized and produces abundantly.

No matter the number of humans on earth, God is able to feed them all. His power and imagination are so vast we can’t even comprehend them. At a glance God is able to give the minutest details of any living being on earth, whether an ant moving laboriously up the slippery bark of a tree in the wetlands or a gigantic elephant romping around in some deciduous forest. God knows so much about everything, even the total number of the hair on our heads. He knows when the cells multiply and even when they decay and are discarded. He knows each and every cancerous cell in the body and can destroy each one if He chooses. God knows if you are bluffing or you’re serious, so much so that God even knows before you are going to do an act, the result of it!

There isn’t anything under the sun He isn’t aware of and He moves all and sundry into positions of comfort for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. When He treads upon the span of the universe, the whirlwinds are but little strokes in the hands of the Master, which He gently sends their way and the huge clouds, pregnant with water, looming ominously in the sky in the middle of the monsoons are but, as the Word says, dust at His feet! Imagine the greatness of our God. Aren’t you and I soooo privileged in having a God like Him Who yet comes to us in human form and dies for us. Get to know Him and love and worship Him, it’s good for eternal life.
