Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: 1 Ch. 22:19. Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; (KJV)

We know of David’s great affinity for the Lord and may I daresay, vice versa i.e. God’s love for David. Every action of David was so that the Lord be glorified and magnified. In every sphere, he had room for the Lord and the best space for God. Very rarely did David ever consider himself as magnificent, but he always magnified God.

In today’s verse, we find David exhorting the princes of Israel to set their hearts and souls in seeking the LORD. David had learnt what it meant to be in deep communion with the Almighty. It was not necessarily the blessings of God that had made David passionate about Him, but His awesomeness which had driven him to His feet, to gaze at His face for hours on end.

What David intricately understood, we also must attempt to try understanding the beauty of our God. There are things if we understand, that will lead us into a state of ethereal bliss. Whenever I have a difficult situation, I just focus on the power of our God and His love for me and I can just see the problem vanish; dissolving into nothingness. God’s power is able to do much more than just removing obstacles in our lives but also ensuring that we are not capsized because of them nor are we taken away from Him. So then today, release yourself from any inhibition preventing you from going to the Lover of Souls and hold on to Him. Set your hearts and souls to seeking Him and you will find the road to prosperity for your souls and your lives too.
