Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'

Thoughts for another day
July 15, 2009
Today's verse: Eze. 38:23. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
In 1 Kings 18 there is a wonderful event that happened in the life of Elijah when he challenged the 450 prophets of baal. God demonstrated His power and His Sovereignty in such an amazing manner that the people who witnessed it fell down, prostrating themselves declaring: The LORD is God; the LORD is God! In our verse above the Almighty LORD God, the Creator of the universe says that the same thing will happen when He will magnify Himself and sanctify Himself. This He says will make Him known in the eyes of many nations and they’ll know that He alone is the LORD.
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus teaches us, ‘Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…’ And this prayer is said by millions of people around the world daily. I am sure that God will shortly set things right by His awesome power and majesty. This comes as a solace to the millions of people around the world who are persecuted and tortured because they believe in the Name of His only Son, Jesus Christ. It raises the hope that soon redemption will come when God will work mightily before the very eyes of the people of the world. Believers and non believers alike will witness the marvelous deeds of our God. Just like they recognized Him as the LORD that day, today too, they will recognize Him as the only God. You know, this thought brings such joy in my heart.
Our task is to pray regularly ‘The Our Father’. When Jesus gave us that prayer, He knew what He was doing and He knew what we needed and therefore He asked us to pray that the Father’s kingdom come, even as His will on heaven and earth reigned supreme. I pray my friend that today, you will not hesitate to tell the LORD to open the eyes of the earth to His Sovereignty and make people across the world bow down to His Name, declaring He alone is God.
