Thoughts for another day
Dec. 20, 2007
Today's verse: Pro. 16:3. Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
As people who belong to the Way, we should be glad because God is on our side. The only requirement is that we should be close to Him and move according to His command. Once we do that, we are under His protection and Grace and none can be a hindrance or cause for fear unless he allows it and He will only allow once He tells you about it or gives you gladness in your heart about the work He will do.
Today’s verse is drawn from the same principle of being with Him. In doing so, we are to commit our lives to Him, which means all our actions and other aspects that govern us. That may seem difficult to do but believe me it is easy. Learning to live with God and communicate with Him all the time is what constitutes the necessary thing. Then automatically we begin to take things to Him for His handling of the situation or anything else.
When we surrender and commit everything to God, He is free to work in us the best for our lives. Sometimes there may be delays or even darkness, but God is working. Like the unseen wind that blows, churning the earth and making it fresh, so is God’s Grace; unseen and yet refreshing. Believing in this we will discover that our plans, whatever they be, soon are realized in our lives. All praise be to HIM.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
