Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Jer. 14:7. O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
Here’s an example of prayer, I’d like to shed some light on. Prayer, we know, as the Word of God tells us, is communion with God. A, talk with Him as with a, friend.
What is your prayer comprised of? If it’s full of meaningless muttering, I’d say it’s futile. If, there is some talk with God and some muttering, well, pray God will enable you to really really talk to Him. And if you actually commune with God, in prayer, then it is good for the Kingdom of Heaven is upon you, despite every other thing about yourself; for when you commune with God, you have believed He is real and you give Him honor and He in turn provides you His righteousness, since Christ died on the cross to grant you righteousness, and only this, gives you the authority to live in His kingdom.
Yea, the Holy Spirit will put in your heart right now if you pause and consider the question aforesaid. You’ll know the kind of prayer you make. And realize that God gets involved with prayer that comes from the heart. God also is really interested in prayer that challenges Him. Take for example Ex. 32: 9-14. Read it very carefully. You will notice that God indicts the people and is ready to destroy them. Yet, Moses pleads their case and he, though very human and absolutely weak before the Consuming Fire, puts forth a challenge in v 12. I can only say, vow!!! Look how good our God is: Wisdom unlimited, yet, melting at the wisdom of His creation. My God, what a wonderful God You are.
Today, our prayer life has to be even more confident as the Redeemer has been revealed and He has ordained that we pray in His Name. Today’s verse reflects the same sentiment, even before God had unfolded His mystery of granting salvation to man through His Son. And if then, God answered, how much more will He today, because of the merits of the blood of the Lamb, His only begotten Son, loved dearly by the Father. My friend, covered in His blood as we stand before Omnipotence, I can only say, all prayer from the heart is yes and in His Name is the Amen.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
