Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Heb. 11:27. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. (KJV)
As I was reading the letter to the Hebrews and the chapter that defines faith in the Bible, I chanced upon this tremendous Word of God. It talks about a man called Moses. Now Moses was saved from the river and grew up in the house of the ruler of Egypt and became as one of the royal family. He was used to luxury and grandeur and the pomp that goes with royalty and his seating place was secured among the few in the world who ruled the world.
Yet, something made Moses forsake everything and join the ranks of slaves. Hebrew slaves that slaved in Egypt building all their monuments and citadels. Then Moses met with God. It completely transformed him. He, who was afraid of Pharaoh, now stood boldly before him, demanding that the slaves go to offer to their God.
Pray, what might have transformed Moses to stand before Pharaoh who yielded tremendous power in the world and make such a demand. Truly I believe, it was the faith that God put in his heart. The Great I AM, held Moses close to Him and changed the very essence of his mind. He who could earlier stand before the might of any kingdom on earth, could also now stand before any might of any kingdom on earth; the only difference being this time, he possessed no army, no weapons and no power other than of The One who created the universe and ironically, Whom he couldn’t see! In today’s verse we are told that Moses endured as if he could see God.
My friend, who can see God and live…none. But God in His mercy has put in our hearts the ability to perceive Him. I have felt His presence so many times. I knew He is there and have lifted my voice to Him. It is really a blessed thing to perceive the presence of God and even as you read this if you are feeling His presence…blessed are you.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
