Thoughts for another day

May 12, 2006

Today's verse: Mt 5:20. …except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. (KJV).

Our Father, God, dwells in unapproachable light. There is no stain in Him. No blemish and no spot whatsoever. Jesus never sinned. The Lamb of God was blemish less and without a single flaw, which is why God could use Him as a sacrifice.

God today is looking for blemish less people whom He may use as His chosen vessel. He wants to confer a kingdom on you and wants to raise you up. In effect, raise you from Glory to Glory by His Spirit. Therefore Jesus said, ‘Be ye perfect as is my Father.’ And only in that state is the entry into heaven guaranteed; the glorious mantle yours! To make things easier, the Father has bestowed upon us the blood of the Lamb, the blood which cleanses us and makes us worthy to stand in His presence.
By His blood, says the writer of the Letter to the Hebrews, we can boldly enter the Holiest. And in another place he says, Jesus sanctified us by His own blood. Now that His sanctifying work is over, where do you stand, within or without the holiest? How may your righteousness, be measured by the One who maintains the Book of Life. Can you enter His Kingdom?
