Thoughts for another day
April 10, 2014.
Today's verse: 2 Cor. 5:15. And
that he died for all, that they
which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died
for them, and rose again. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read
further. Thanks)
From the beginning of the time when God created man, He has created him
for Himself and so man must focus all his life on God and work on what pleases
Him. We were created the Bible says, for
the praise of His glory, as even Paul says in Ephesians 1:12 says, ‘That
we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.’ You know, as humans on earth, our entire focus
should be on God and only on Him; but in reality we find our focus is on
everything else but God.
Besides,
the above I once also made this shocking discovery: Although I work for the Lord and love to go
and address prayer meetings, Bible studies, etc. I realised that I always wanted to talk about
how much I put in to do it for the Lord and also when God worked a miracle
through my hands, there was this inner boast that it was through me that the
thing was accomplished. Only recently
did it strike me that I am robbing God of His glory for we know that all glory
that accrues through the work of God and by that I won’t be wrong to consider
all activities on earth; must be for God and God alone. If He uses me as an instrument, it must not
become a thing of pride for me and my ego must not be bloated as if it was me
that did the work for by myself, I could hardly do anything.
