Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Ps. 105:4. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. (KJV)

O, seek the LORD says the Psalmist; yeah, seek Yahweh God, the Alpha and the Omega, who knows no difficulty nor impossibility.  When the rumble and tumble of your existence on earth turns extremely rough and there’s no strength to even move, seek the Lord.  Seek Him when the strength in your bones fails; when you’re wasted with disease and on the last dregs of life, unable to even  lift yourself up or be audible in your voice; and are like the dried tree that will no longer stand up to the whistling wind.  Seek Him, when your children go hungry or have nothing to wear to keep them warm in the winter.  Seek Him, when all hope seems to have fled from you and the road ahead is too foggy to even look at.

Seek the face of the Lord, when the joy in you bubbles up, for seasons of plenty have caused your barns to swell and your festivities and celebrations increase multi-fold.  Seek His face when your enemies have been vanquished and peace prevails in your home and in the homes of your friends and relatives.  Seek His face when the stumbling blocks your enemies laid have been shattered by the favor of your Creator upon you.  Yes, seek His face when all is well with you and there’s no concern floating in your mind and all is at rest.

My friend, seek the face of the Lord and His strength at all times for in that is your future secure and your hope, guaranteed.  No one who seeks the Lord is ever, ever forsaken by Him.  His cover of Grace never leaves them and His eyes of mercy seek to wipe their tears.  In the really weary times and troubled ways, He is your shield of safety and goodness.  Never sink to your knees with remorse that you sought Him for only in seeking Him, your desire becomes a reality by His might which sooner or later, He will send to fend for you.  Your God is the ultimate warrior and your unlimited source of strength.  He is an ever present help and your Shining Star.  Look up to Him and be safe, O you child of God…for He watches to encourage you even when you are so feeble, you can hardly call out His Name.
