Thoughts for another day
Sept. 6, 2013.
Today's verse: 2 Chron. 27:6. Thus
Jotham continued to grow strong because he lived resolutely in the Presence of
the LORD, his God (NAB – copy. ack)
(Pls. read the above before you read
further. Thanks)
There is a rule in the natural realm:
Everything that’s there faces decay, gradually. Take for example humans, they’re born, they
grow up and each moment they live their bodies decay. Eventually they die and then the process of
decay is that much faster. What I’m
saying is that we’re constantly becoming weaker and weaker. Though
when young, we may never sense that we’re becoming weak, because the very act
of growth screens the decay aspect since it’s rather over-powering.
Similarly, that which becomes strong
starts becoming weak as the years go by and we see this even in great powers
like the Greek, the Romans, and close to our times, the Imperial British and
wither. But our Scripture says that
Jotham continued to grow strong because he was steadfastly in the Presence of
God. Therefore, if by His Grace which
flows to us freely, we can be in God’s Presence all the time, then supernatural
strength comes to us.
This strength is not only physical, but also
touches various aspects of our lives like our finances, our children, our
properties, etc. No decay can touch any
of our things so long as we’re in God’s Presence for out of His Presence flows
His awesome Power which safeguards everything that’s ours, so nothing can touch
it. And another thing, if you’re in His
Presence, even if you’ve some kind of problem with which you’re grappling, then
the problem is no longer your problem but of the Almighty God in whose Presence
you remain. Today, try the Jotham way, get
into His Presence and remain there.
There will be much good that will come your way.
