Thoughts for another day

Dec. 11, 2012.

Today's verse: 2 Kgs. 5:15b. Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

Through us does God create glory for Himself in that He does great things before us and when the nations who do not know Him see the mighty works of God among His people, they come to believe in Him for they know that without Him, the One and Only God in all the earth, that work was not possible.

There are so many instances in the Bible where God showed His awesome might in favor of His people, so that the people praised Him and accorded Him the glory as to the One and Only Living God through Whom the earth and all in it came to be.  If we look at the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt, the Egyptians acknowledged Him as God for they saw the devastation God caused through mighty signs and wonders which they had never seen before.  Even as they moved into the Promised Land, the nations were awed by them because they heard of what God had done on their behalf.   Even through our Lord Jesus Christ, God's Name was glorified in many instances when He caused those great miracles before the people.

Similarly, God can and will work great things through us also if we submit to His will and do His work.  He doesn't ask for much but that we be holy and humble before Him and wait upon His Word.  If you wish to be His instrument on earth, bow to His holy will and bless His Name today.  You will be used by Him for His wonderful work on earth by which they will say, Behold, there is no God but the God you follow, whose Name is Jesus Christ. Amen.
