Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Jer. 49:19b. for who is like me?
and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me? (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read
further. Thanks)
Today's Scripture establishes the
Sovereignty of God in a manner that's irrefutable for God Himself declares the
Word and He says, there is no other like Him.
God who has made the heavens and the
earth is alone Sovereign, Great and Awesome of fierce countenance and Omniscient. His hand has stretched forth the vast canopy
of the sky and on earth He has spread the abundance of green and water and the
huge mountains that rise up as to touch His glory. His creation of outer space spells the
awesome breadth of His wisdom and creative power. At His word, the waters in the sky splash
forth on earth like an opened shower, even as the huge clouds pregnant with
water lie above with not even an iota of the effect of gravity, but spew forth
the rain, in a gentle cascade upon earth.
God's Word makes this possible and It has also made it possible for the
soil on the earth to soak up the rain and give life to all.
God's blazing features make it
impossible for us to see Him for He is a Consuming Fire and none can stand
before Him. Mortal men in contempt may
say they don't believe Him but there're times when He shows forth His awesomeness
to them and they're forced to acknowledge His Presence and Sovereignty, for
they realise that before His Awesomeness, they stand in absolute worthlessness. Even so, God asks, 'who is that shepherd
that will stand before Me?' He knows
there is none but He wants us to know it; and the good thing in this is, if we
acknowledge Him as our Shepherd, he will lead us to refreshing waters and up
the paths of righteousness so we will always be with Him.
