Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Jer. 17:7. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD,
and whose hope the LORD is. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read
further. Thanks)
I've maintained that trusting in the
Lord at all costs is the hallmark of a man whose spirit has been in touch with
the Lord's Spirit and through the injection of faith the Holy Spirit gives him,
this man is able to rise above the muck he is in and see the hand of God beyond
the muck, as raised by Him out of the muck and to a new high of glory; actually
living Heb. 11:1 which says, 'faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen.'
To have a mind that holds on to faith in
the rigors of fire and water, is really, really a great thing for I tell you,
if you've gone through such a situation, you know what it means. Its one thing to sit, when the soul is in
peace and declare 'I trust the Lord'; and quite another to sit, when the soul
is in turmoil and declare, 'I am saved by the Lord', note, the word is 'saved'
not 'will be saved'. That's why our
Scripture calls such a man blessed. And certainly
blessed is he who trusts in the Lord, who has put his hope in God and neither
rain nor shine can take away the hope in his heart which stands firm in YAHWEH
God, King and Owner of the universe.
In this context, I recall a friend who
runs an NGO who had some difficulty with the tax authorities in India for the
grant of 'tax exemption certificate' for those who donate to the NGO. He had a bad time with a senior tax official,
who was deadly against Christians and who saw red when he saw the request for
the exemption certificate and refused to grant it. This friend and his Christian brothers and
sisters trusted God and many prayers were offered seeking God's intervention in
this matter. God intervened and
eventually, this friend got the certificate.
See, they who trust in the Lord and put their hope in Him will be recognized
and rewarded by Him. Today, if you have
a situation just beyond your ability to handle, fear not; for if you trust in
Him, the LORD God Almighty, He will intervene and He will deliver. Just stay steady in your trust and you too
will be blessed because you trust Him and have put your hope in Him.
