Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Ps. 121:1, 2. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
There're hints in the Bible as to what to do, when in difficulty. Our Scripture verse today suggests one such thing and that is to look up, for which the psalmist draws the picture of hills. Looking up and of course beyond, with eyes of faith, enables one to see the Lord God of hosts Who created heaven and earth and His grandeur and might before which our difficulty is trivial.
This psalm is not for the psalmist as much as God has designed it for us today; telling us to look to Him for anything that ails or vexes us. God always has a solution for those who look up to Him for He can't go against His nature of helping His children when they're in pain or at the crossroads and unable to decide where to go. God who made the heaven and the earth certainly knows that we're going to have some kind of trouble or other as we live on earth because of the tug of war between the evil and the good in us. The evil is not easily subdued by our good and is bound to create trouble in our lives. But when we hand this situation into God's hand, we can rest assured that though there may be trouble, we will conquer when we're unafraid after surrendering to Him, because Jesus has overcome the world.
To you and me this must be as real for Jesus is real and to appropriate His promises we must see Him as real and His Word as living and true. And then even if we have many turmoils in our lives, if everything seems to be against us and all over we see darkness, yet we will stand victorious for when we look up to the hills, we shall see our help coming and we shall live to praise Him, even as He comes on the clouds of heaven.
