Thoughts for another day

March 21, 2012

Today's verse: Ro. 5:20b. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

I find this rather strange but nevertheless am delighted at the mercy and love of God and it's this; when I sin, I notice God sends a greater Grace in my life and on the day I sin I can sense His love flowing out more than usual.  In fact, I've also noticed that on the day I offend Him seriously, He works out something good for me!  I've seen it happen so many times that I am unable to hold it but say that, truly the above Scripture is so real with me; and I'm sure with you too.

Nothing touches me more than this God's lovely gesture as if to remind me, 'its ok…you've sinned, now get up and sin no more!'  Think of it, isn't our God so beautiful and so good.  Imagine you hurt Him and He reverts with a kiss!  You malign Him and He answers with a blessing!  How great is our God who is our Father on high even to everlasting life.  Remember it is with our God that we shall spend everlasting life after we've crossed the threshold of this life and it certainly excites my soul to know that I have such a God who I can worship at will and love and cherish!

But hey, remember that the occasion of 'special Grace' that He confers on us when we sin is not that we go on sinning, but that we realize what He is to us and how much He loves us.  And for the sake of that love, we shed our sinful nature and turning new leaves, offer ourselves as living sacrifices on His altar to be a sweet smelling oblation.  Beloved, repent of your sins and your wrongdoings for the season of Grace is at hand when your soul can turn to embrace its Creator; rather than face the cauldron of His wrath, when the season has gone past.
