Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Jer. 15:16. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. (KJV)

The Word of God:  The mighty potent Word of God is the great delight of the human heart and rightly does Jeremiah say that when He found the Word of God, he did eat them, not really, but that He ingested or shall I say internalized them and he realized that God's Word was to him the joy and rejoicing of his heart.  For every person who is called by His Name, the Name of the LORD God of hosts, relishes the Word of God.

In our troubled and uncertain times today with so much insecurity and trouble, we have only His Word which can make us stand like a rock in the midst of the swirling waters, which the waters cannot shake nor budge.  Yea, my people, God's Word is the impregnable tower of refuge on which we can stand and be confident, for His Word never fails…yea, heaven and earth may collapse and wither but His Words will stand said the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the very God whom Moses and Elijah worshipped. 

He is a mighty God and His Words reflect His might.  In them also we find a path to life where we will find victory if we keep them.  In it we shall be confident and stand steadfast depending on Him to effect every dictate of His Word, no matter how weak we are or how far gone from Him we may be;  for the moment we trust His Word, means we trust Him and we can come back to Him.  Take His Word today to be the Delight of your heart, the Manna for your souls and the Crown of your life.  You will be victorious in The Name by Whom you are called.
