Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Mt. 9:29. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
God’s awesome power operates on the fuel of faith. In today’s Scripture, there’s an interesting episode involving two blind men. I’d say, it’s a perfect example for a reflection because, we hear Paul saying: ‘We walk by faith, not by sight’ 2 Cor. 5:7. Perfect for the blind for they do not use sight to walk and hence have to sustain themselves on faith. Now, these blind men in our referred Scripture, follow Jesus, crying out aloud, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have pity on us.’
Look at the situation: These men were blind, but they would have learnt of the great prophet from Galilee who brought healing in the lives of many and taught of the Kingdom of God. Deep in their hearts though they couldn’t see, their faith would have been kindled. They would have thought to themselves, on the day He comes here, we will not allow His visit go past us without getting our sight. Their faith was strong in Him. Then one day, they would have heard excited commotion among the people and told that Jesus Himself was passing by. Imagine their own excitement as they groped through the air to reach some point where they could stand and shout so He would hear them, despite the crowd. Their whole being would be filled with expectation and their shouts would have screamed this expectation into the ears of the Master.
Jesus turned toward them seeing their expectant faith. To confirm this faith as well as reveal it to others, He asked them a simple question, ‘Do you believe I can do this?’ And out came the words from their mouth, words powered with faith, ‘Yes Lord!’ And it was enough for Jesus to work a mighty miracle; He turned to them and said, ‘Let it be done to you according to your faith!’
My friend as I said earlier, God’s awesome power runs on the fuel of faith. If you hold faith in your heart and stand steadfast, you can rest assured that God will grant what you hold in your heart. For there will be nothing impossible for you if you hold to faith; because faith in God releases such power as to stun the eyes of the beholder and bring glory to God.
