Thoughts for another day

Oct. 13, 2009

Today's verse: Is. 30:18. And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)

Sometimes when the chips are down and there’s not much you understand, remember this verse. It says that God waits to be gracious to us. Besides, it emphasizes that in having mercy upon us, He is exalted.

Though the pain in our hearts is quite deep at times and our anguish seems not to fade, we must realize that God is a just God and mind you, He is not answerable to anybody. He is the Potter, we are the clay, the work of His hands. We cannot turn back and accuse Him of any wrongdoing for who are we to question Him? However, I still believe that when in sorrow and anger boils within, even if we question Him He will not mind but answer the question to our satisfaction.

My friend, after all that I’ve gone through in the last few days, keeping faith in God is difficult. The worst is I don’t hear His voice constantly, but yet, I believe that in His magnanimity, He will turn His face to me and will give me that which satisfies me and brings me relief. I trust in the Lord for at such times, we do just the opposite of what the world tells us to do so that in His mercy, He will restore our joy and make us sing a song to His praise. I will wait until I see that He answers me. Amen.
