Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'

Thoughts for another day
June 12, 2008
Today's verse: Ps. 91:14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
When a man starts loving Jesus and doing His bidding, an awesome experience becomes due him, which is worth it all. In the arms of love of the Savior there’s hope that never was before. An ecstasy beyond the realms of rationality prevails. What Bartimaeus saw, sitting by the road to Jericho, is seen – much much love and compassion speaks.
When Jesus sat in the house of Simon the leper (Lk. 7:36-50), the sinful woman beheld the eyes of beauty that graced her cleansed heart. There was so much love she beheld that tears streamed from her eyes and with those, she washed the feet of her Lord. For a moment as Jesus looked up the sycamore tree and spoke to Zacchaeus and called him down to stay at his place, Zacchaeus felt the warmth of that awesome love. He could not talk for a while as God’s mercy engulfed him and held him in comfort and then his heart broke out and exclaimed, ‘Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold’ (Lk. 19:8), what more could he do, his mind was furiously exploring as he held on to those dusty hands of his God.
David felt God’s presence so near that he spoke and said, ‘One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. (Ps. 27:4). Peter could not stop weeping, when the flood of mercy in the eyes of the Master engulfed him even after he had denied his Savior three times. And yes, the thief hanging on His side with quivering lips said, ‘Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom’ (Lk. 23:42) for he too had looked at that bruised body, laden with sin, yet through which, shone a glory as to belong only to the Maker of the universe.
Beloved in Christ, has His love washed over you yet, that your heart yearns for Him? If yes, then He says, He will deliver you and if you have striven to know Him, rest assured He will set you on high. Quick now, check if you have done this for then know your God will set you under the shadow of His wings and love you; commanding His angels to bear you in their hands lest a little scratch come on you! Oh blessed of God, bless Him today, the God who loves you so much that there is nothing He won’t do for you.
