Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Rom. 8:37. …in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. (KJV)
(Pls. read the above before you read further. Thanks)
If I were to sing a love song to my Father in Heaven, my composition would comprise, 1. His Love. 2. His Mercy. 3. His Kindness and 4. His untiring eye of protection, on me.
Among all these, I would lay tremendous stress on His love. What is it about the love of God that makes us so secure? What kind of love does God have that we are not destroyed despite our rolling in sin over and over? God is a consuming fire, so what kind of love is there in God for us that we are not consumed even though we repeatedly offend Him?
I quickly understand that as I stand on this earth with the robe of humanness and finiteness, I will never be able to define the girth of God’s love. Nor will I be able to discern its nature. And where will I find the measuring stick to know the extent of it?
However, despite my lacuna in trying to compose the perfect love song to God, I can only say that I have felt the warmth of His love in each sinew and fiber of my being. In the dark of the night when the shadows seem too frightful and threatening, God’s loves comes with a whoosh and shatters the fright. Ah… I think, God must say to that shadow, ‘How dare you come near my child?’
Then again, when the billows of life cast themselves upon my life, making it impossible to do the simplest of things and encroach upon my freedom of living a full life, His love comes to my rescue.
My friend, God’s love is so ample, it’s there in every aspect of your and my life. Notice, the way your eyes are reading this, don’t you perceive that His loves gives you the sight to read of His love for you and to rise up and conquer the world with His power given to you because of His great love? Understand I may not, but atleast I can reflect with some sense on what Paul says, ‘we are more than conquerors through Him…’ and I may by His Grace modify slightly saying ‘…because He loves us so.’
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
