Thoughts for another day

Today's verse: Ps. 86:9. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. (KJV)
I was just watching a video (url: http://thinkrightnow.com/can.htm), where I saw the amazing love a human father for his son who is brain damaged, not being able to control the movement of his limbs. Then I thought of my Father in Heaven. Tears came to my eyes as I remembered what He did for me and continues to do in my life as well as yours. If you were to put down on paper what God does for you each moment of your life, you would run out of paper and even if for your whole life you were to thank Him, it would be insufficient. For, a gracious God is He, most loving and kind; and very very beautiful.
That is why David having known Him, can cry out like he does in Ps. 86. In verse 7, he says with confidence, ‘In the day of trouble I will call upon you and you will answer me.’ Are you too so confident about God? Are you willing to lay your life on Him? Blessed are you if you are because Jehovah God Himself has put that thought in your mind. Many have heard me make the statement, ‘It is God’s business to take care of us.’ I repeat this today. God has created us and is with us each step of the way. He knows He needs to take care of us and He does. It is we who have a lop-sided understanding of this situation, which is why we falter and we fail; for the moment we try to do it ourselves, God moves away. Have you realized this?
The world and its tribes have many gods whom they worship. It is of no avail. Nothing is got from it and nothing will be. Some even elevate men and women as God. There is no fulfillment and peace, for the prince of peace has not made His abode among them. David’s finding God and then worshipping Him and trusting Him implicitly make his words, a great tribute to the only Almighty God. No other god can give you what Jehovah can give. Most of what these so called gods give are illusions and mirages. There isn’t anything in them for they are creations of the obnoxious fertile imaginations of man. Time will prove that He, Jesus Christ alone, is God and He reigns, not in the way we would expect but in a manner, which is eternal. That’s why we utter and say, ‘every knee shall bend and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, ever and ever more.’ Thus we will glorify Him in the heavens and rejoice in our souls as He enfolds us in His wings.
Have you felt the whiff of cool air as it brings in much needed showers on a hot summer afternoon? Have you tasted a small bit of bread after hours and days of not having had anything? Have you experienced the satisfaction of an intense need being met? My friend, Jesus Christ can give you this satisfaction and much more. Now is the time to bring Him into your life. Just say, 'Lord Jesus, I believe in you. Come into my life right now. Heal my sin. Heal everything.'
