Thoughts for another day

October 17, 2006

Today's verse: Ps 91:4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: (KJV)

One day, as you are praying and I mean really praying, look up to Him and ask Him, ‘Lord, how much do You love me?’ My friend, I can tell you, the floodgates of heaven will be opened and down will stream the choicest waves of love you’ve ever experienced. Your answer comes instantly.

God is all about love. Yes, you and I find it difficult to love; but God is about love. Where He is, there is love. All His love is focused on just one person: you. Surprised? Yes, it did to me also, but then over a period of time, He revealed to me how He spends, if I may call it, His time, loving me. The only business of God as I see it, is to love. You open your arms and embrace Him and you will experience His love. You sit focused on Him and you will be drawn into His sphere of unblemished and eternal love. The experience is mighty and awesome and even as I write I can feel His love envelope me as it is enveloping you as you read…I can imagine Mary, Martha’s sister who was bestowed with Jesus’ love. She did not want anything else for no thing of man can compare with God’s love.

My beloved in Christ, God loves us so much and He is so concerned that He constantly watches over us. We who rely on Him are never disappointed. The man who trusts Him can never be put to shame Ps. 34:22; Prov. 29:25. Today’s verse says that He is like a mother shading us with His wings and guarding us with His feathers. Truly, He is eager that no harm comes to us in any way. The Bible says, He never sleeps nor slumbers and it is true. He is always there. Always. Remember, it is you who block His love. Today, I pray He gives you the grace to let your blocks down and allow His love to flow in.
